Bound & Braided: Ritual Knot-Working + Magickal Hand-Working for Guidance & Support with Jacki Holland of Jacki Holland Studios & Drew Dinges of Confluence Crystals

Sunday, November 23rd from 6 p.m – 8 p.m. | Total Participants : 6

For thousands of years, across continents and cultures, the simple act of tying a knot or braiding a cord has been used as a spell, a way to bind intentions, secure blessings, call in guidance, or ward away harm. In this immersive hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the ancestral art of knots, braids, and stitches as powerful tools for spell-craft, meditation, and connection with the Divine.

From Egyptian fishermen tying cords to influence the winds, to Babylonians binding healing charms in cedar bark, to the mythic threads of the Greek Fates and Nordic Norns, the magic of knot-work has shaped stories, rituals, and destinies. Even the Goddess Isis was said to wield her knot as a symbol of protection, fate, and power. As author T.H. White wrote, “Knots were probably the earliest spells… if nobody had ever invented knots, nobody would ever have imagined magicians.”

In This Workshop, Attendees Will:

  • Learn the history and mythology of knot and braid magic across cultures.

  • Explore the symbolism of binding, sealing, and releasing through hand-work spells.

  • Practice knotting, braiding, and simple stitching techniques to cast your own intentions.

  • Experience hand-work as moving meditation, a way to focus the mind and open the inner voice.

  • Create a personal spell-charm for protection, guidance, abundance, healing, or support.

Working with thread, cord, and cloth invites our prayers to take shape in the physical world. With focused intention, repetition, and imagination, knot-craft becomes a bridge, a ritual action that moves us beyond the mundane and into conversation with ancestors, intuition, and the unseen realm.

No experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Come ready to weave meaning, stitch intention, and braid your magic into being.
