In ancient times, our ancestors looked to the more than human world and the realm of dreams for omens, intuitive insights, healing visions and to connect to one's own intuition. Although in modern times, we have been cut off from trusting the insights and wisdom that comes through and from all around us - there are still rituals and practices that can help return us to a place of inner knowing. Through the practice of Divinatory Collage, you can begin to allow your intuitive self to craft an oracular tool that can help you access the subconscious parts of your mind.
Many people have most likely experienced or partaken in collaging at some point in their life- whether as a school project, or even as a hobby. And some have experienced working with tarot or oracle cards, either by reading them yourself or having someone else read them to you. With Divinatory Collage, we are weaving the two practices into one, and creating a deck that is wholly yours. Rather than searching for specific images, the ritual of creation asks us to allow our eyes and hands to be guided by sense outside the critical mind to imagery that speaks to us in ways that are perhaps still unknown, but come together to form a card that fully resonates with our spirits.
